As I was reading your blog I was struck by the parallels there are with my own handle on language. I'm orginally from Peru- where they speak Spanish but I speak English everyday and have done for 22 years... but there are times when I'm nervous and I feel self-concious about my grasp on the English language I begin to stutter, blush or forget the words I need to use- so I opt for simpler words.
